Cash calculator and tender bills buttons

Hello
New only 2 weeks or less with this program. Using the upgraded paid program.
I searched and can't find how to do this.

#1 when I added a card button and cash button the cash one when pushed takes the amount owed and clears it ends the sale. No calculator comes up no way to enter what they tendered.
Example here in Canada it is an amount $13.10 owed. I hit cash it acts as if they gave exact change no calculator or anything to enter example they handed me a $20 bill.

#2 read somewhere about adding bills tender buttons but can't figure it out. I need a $5 a $10 and a $20 bill. So that you can quickly figure out their change.

Customer service has been very good (shout out to Helena) and quick. However I sent these questions in 2 days ago and I think due to new years etc it won't get replied to until maybe early next week.

Anyone able to help. Thanks for anyone who can.

We’ve already been in touch via email, so I’ll just summarize the answers here for other forum visitors as well.

If Cash is set as your default payment method, the calculator for receiving and returning cash will appear immediately after clicking the Cash button. However, if a different payment method is set as the default, you’ll need to click the Cash button twice — the first click selects cash as the payment method, and the second click opens the calculator.

You can find the payment method settings directly in the app under Settings - Payment methods settings.

At the moment, Elementary POS unfortunately doesn’t support cash payment buttons with specific banknote values. That said, this is something we’re considering adding in the future.
