Use of decimals when recording sales

Hello,
I have been testing the Elementary POS app for a few days now for my family fabric shop and while the app feels great, I have an issue while recording sales in the sales items tab.
In our shop we sell our fabric per meter or part there of (for example, 25 cm or 2.5 m), however we are unavailable to add the quantities in decimals.

While I could use the calculator tab and use the M function, this raises another issue. We have literally hundreds of different fabrics in our inventory and remembering hundreds of codes will be hard, specially for my elderly parents.

I would like to know if there's a way to enable the decimals while recording sales in the sales items tab?

Hi Ajmal,
We’re glad to hear that Elementary POS has caught your interest.
If you sell inventory items by units, we recommend setting up each product as a sales item using the smallest unit you sell, or the most commonly used unit (for example, 5 cm and 1 m).
Using these items, you can then easily compose the actual length of fabric ordered by the customer. To specify the exact quantity, simply press and hold the selected item. You can find more details about this setup here:
