I'm trying out Elementary POS and so far it has been amazing. My biggest issue, which is preventing me from fully deploying it in my business, is the ability to print thermal receipts.
I already have a Rongta printer with USB, Ethernet, Serial, and RJ11 ports. However, I don't see any way to use it directly within the app. Currently, I can print from the device itself using the official Rongta app, and I can print from my computer as well. It seems to use EPSON (ESC/POS) over the network, but I'm not entirely sure.
The in-app printing methods available are Android Print Services, USB, and Bluetooth. I noticed that some Rongta printers are mentioned in the FAQ as supported models. I considered connecting it using a USB converter, but then I would lose the ability to power my older device. So my only choice is the LAN interface ip with port 9100...
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
